For next Thursday, April 7th!!

What happens after this appt?  I can't remember all the people that are seen prior to the surgeon.  I think there's one more, then the surgeon.  Am I right?

Hey StevesGal. I just met with my medical internist 2 weeks ago and I go have my meeting with the surgeon and sign consent for surgery on April 5. I was told that was it and no more appointments till pre-admit, and I'm going through St.Joe's Hamilton.

Thanks for the info, jthompson.  I seem to remember another class being mentioned (some have said that for other hospitals, there has been a 'gastric bypass class').

I'm going to request surgery in June rather than May.  I certainly wasn't expecting anything to happen much before the end of the summer since my original Nurse/Dietician meeting wasn't scheduled until June 10th, and I've got things to do before surgery.

I definitely know how lucky I am to have this happening so quickly.  I know I lucked out on this and thank my lucky stars, guardian angel or whatever/whomever is looking out for me!

I was originally suppose to have my nurse/dietitian appt. on April 29th got it bumped up to tomorrow at 1:00 and Krista called today and asked if I could come in at 9:30 tomorrow as there was another cancellation.
Hopefully the rest of my appointments will get booked as quickly as yours Beth.
Good for us.  Maybe we'll have our surgery around the same time but I'll be happy to take the May appointment. lol

Hi Elizabeth

When did you have your orientation?

Did you get your blood tests done right away?

I was just wondering because I just called Krista and put myself on a cancellation list, not sure
it there is one, were you on a cancellation list?

Thanks

I was not on a cancellation list.  I called to change my appt. due to a death in the family. (The internment is scheduled for the date of my original appt) I was lucky enough to be able to push my appt. up due to a cancellation instead of having to wait longer.
My blood tests were done the end of February and my orientation was on Feb. 7th.
Good luck, I hope something comes up for you.  Sometimes I think it is just a question of "right place, right time."
