VERY NERVOUS, PLEASE READ :(
Sarha Ann (lovely name)- Welcome to the board-
Like everyone else on here- I'm not an expert, but if it's something you want it appears you would be a good candidate for wls. The big thing for you to keep in mind is the process, and unfortunately- that means time. It's going to take awhile before you actually have a surgery date. The important thing is YOU have to want this- and YOU have to be your own strongest advocate.
Good luck- if this is what you want- it will happen- and don't be afraid to use this board to vent or answer questions.

Hi,
I attended the WLS information session last Friday in Ottawa. One of the things they mentionned was that if you have any other health issues, they need to be stable before surgery, ie. if you have diabetes, your blood sugars need to be stablized by medication or insulin for a period of time. They also mentionned that if you smoke, you need to have stopped smoking for at least 3 months.
You will also need to attend an information session at some point, and you can ask any questions there too, and hear other peoples questions/answers.
Good luck,
Judy
