Moving Forward
Met with Dr Klein yesterday. Found him to be very stand offish and very succinct. Maybe he was just having a bad day. Although the person who saw him ahead of me was sent home because they had not quit smoking yet. Told to call the office again when they had quit and they could then resume the process. (she was none to happy). Anybody else experience anything different or is that just his charming self.
Well he did approve me for surgery and said that I needed to make an appointment to see the internist and then I would get a surgery date. He estimated surgery for June or July. So things are really starting to move. Makes the wait a little easier knowing that all my appointments have been booked except the internist at this point.
THERE IS A LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL! Woooohooooooo

Congrats on being approved!
I dont have Klein, my doc is Huynh - I really liked him. I saw Klein a few times when I was there for my appt but he seemed cheery and friendly. Maybe he was having a bad day or maybe the appt. ahead of you got to him. It must be frustrating to keep telling people the same thing over and over. Quitting smoking is the first thing they tell you about in Orientation.
I got the same info at my appt - approved, see the Internist and call back for a surgery date. I was thrilled! My appt. with Glazer is on the 26th. I hope it goes well....for both of us!

Your probably right Simona, he was more than likely having a bad day.
I know when I first had my referral sent in and my doctor advised me about having to quit smoking that it was the first thing I did from that point on. Took me a couple of weeks but I gave it up on the 2nd Sept 2009 and haven't looked back since.
I am positive that things will go great for both of us. Good Luck to you.
