February Orientation Groups Ottawa

Could people who attended the February orientations in Ottawa please update me on your nurse's appointments?  I would like to find out where the clinic is with booking appointments, and what the expected wait for an appointment will be.

I had my orientation on March 4th and see the dietician and behaviourist on May 11.

What the heck?  You went to the Ottawa Weight Management clinic?  I called them last week and they said they hadn't started booking February 11th people yet.  I went on February 28th and am dying to know something.   When did you get the phone call?

Yes the WMC but it might be different for me because I did the Optifast program with them already. I think I might get fast tracked through.

I attended the Jan 14th session, then got my nurses appt for Jan 27th, then my dietician and beh appts for Feb 24, then my education class April 4, and my surgeons appt is coming up on May 3. They started changing up the schedule though just after I went through the orientation. They started not making people wait to long from referral to orientation, but they have to wait longer from orientation to Nurses appt. When were you referred? I was referred Feb 26 2010

I went to the Feb 18th session and I have no been called yet I left them a message 3 days ago and have no recieved a call back yet on my status, if I get a call today I will update you!

Thanks Jay.  I don't understand how long it takes!  I just need to know the date, and assuming that it would be 4 months from the orientation to the nurse appointment (as they said in orientation), half that time has almost past.  I would hope that they give you a couple weeks notice prior to the appointment, therefore, they should be calling soon!

Well I hope they call soon I was referred to the WMC a year ago this month so I am patiently waiting for there call to get the ball rolling.... so I am hoping to get a call soon also I had said I would be willing to go to Humber as the say the process should be faster but I have yet to see it.

From what ive seen here, a transfer from Ottawqa to Humber cuts the wait time by about 1 month.

I would love to go to Humber too and I don't think my nerves are going to handle all this waiting.  I am a person that needs to see light at the end of a tunnel.
