Internist Appt

I am in Toronto this Friday for my appt with Dietitian and Bariatric Class and then again on the 9th for appt with SW.  I have already had an appt with my surgeon and my medical internist appt with Dr. Zupnik is not scheduled until 7th June as he is away for 2-3 weeks in May. 

I was toying with the idea of going to surgeons office when I am there on Friday and seeing if they can change my medical internist so that I can possibly get another appt sooner.  Do you think this is a feasible idea?

If not, how about letting the surgeons office know that my appt with Dr Zupnik is on the 7th so they can then schedule my next appt with Dr. Klein instead of waiting till after appt is over?

Any suggestions?

My advice...call the Internists office directly and let them know when you'll be in the city and ask if they can schedule the appt for that day.  Let them know you're travelling a fair distance for these appts.  Never hurts to ask...

It's worth a shot to call Dr. Klein's office, but most likely they wont book you in until you have finished all of your appointments. Perhaps if you tell them you are travelling a distance - they are really very nice at his office and quite accomodating.

I agree with Simona... never hurts to ask. I got in a month early for my RD/SW on a cancellation - only because I asked if there were any.

I guess I will give that a try when I am at HRRH on Friday.  Always worth a shot.  I already did talk to Dr. Zupniks receptionist and she said impossible to make this appt for any earlier. 

I have mine with Dr. Glazer for May 26th. They are all booked up and is hard to get another closer date. When I had my appointment with Dr. Klien, the girls checked which Internist had the earlier dates, and that is the doctor Dr. Klien uses. If you got Zupniks, then he was the earlist available.

I will see you at the class this Friday. Was wondering where it is, at Finch or is it at Keele Street?
