Stoopid questions - things you are afraid to ask

Eileen, I STILL have this problem. Everything on the hanger looks too small. I take clothes out of the dryer and think, "Who the hell's jeans are these!?" It doesn't help that every store is different either.  I can wear a 4 at one store, a 10 at another, and anything in between. Unfortunately, we have to try on everything we buy.  Wish there was a better answer! lol

Last summer is the first time since surgery that I felt the heat.  I blame Tracey.  I figure it's easier to put something on than off. LOL

F*ck you *****!!!  You are just 4 months behind me as far as surgery goes so you just caught up to me silly.  I can feel the heat today and it's only 20C, wait til we get those days of 40C.

I've said this before, but I think it bears repeating.

My theory for post-WLS cold is because we are eating less, and hence, we are circulating less blood to process the food.  Blood flowing causes your body heat to rise - and if you're eating less, less blood circulation = less heat produced.  This, on top of losing our 'insulation' is what I believe causes the chills.

But I'd rather be cold that fat.  I can always wear a sweater!

That's a theory - unproven, but hey, a theory nonetheless. Just like mine. lol

I've actually read that when we decrease our calories, our thyroid function slows down and causes us to be cold.  Thyroid controls a lot of things like metabolism so it makes sense to me.  Apparently if you eat foods high in Vitamin B  and iron, and take Omega 3, it will help to reduce the cold feeling.  Also certain foods interfere with thyroid function and should be avoided when losing weight.
