I was just at the doctor and asked him the same thing.  He said keep moisturing yourself and have more bath with oil in the water.   Do not have hot showers, this will dry up your skin.  Don't stay in the shower too long.  He suggested Cetaphil.

Bio-oil is my best friend.  My skin soaks it up.
You can put directly on the skin or add it to your moisturizer.

Lush Cosmetics has a few different soap/moisture bars that are amazing.
They also have some nice face creams and rehydrating masks.
All natural products.

Dry skin is going to be the death of me BUT recently I find cleansing my body daily with wipes then applying body lotion right after helps. I love bio-oil but find Keri lotion to be good and anything with cocoa butter. I think the key is to switch it up regularily so your skin doesn't get 'bored' with the same old same old.
In my 50+ years I have never used soap on my face--lately I love to use any of the facial wipes because they are moisturizing while gently cleaning your face. One I like is Johnsons again baby wipes but for face and hands. The moisturizer I'm using now is Eucerin with SPF 30 and it works great.
My hands are continuly being moisturized too, I have hand cream all over the house especially by he computer.
Hope this helps xo
