Do the Foamies ever stop?
I am almost eight months out and I find my pouch more sensitive now then before. I am having a hard time eating most things....so foamies are pretty active. Not sure what is up with that, but most things sit heavy or just not good. It makes for eating a challenge.
Any suggestions on food. Love Soy beans....seem to be my staple right now and I can even tolerate su****he california kind. I go back to my chilli which was my staple in the first few months.
Has anyone else regressed with eating??? Any suggestions????
Thanks so much.

I am 2 years and 3 months post op and for the most part if I chew my food very well and don;t drink a 1/2 hr prior or after eating I don;t get them.
My cautionary word would be....your pouch is still getting used to food and how it has been re-routed...so what may give you foamies now, in 2 months from now, may not.
Bread was a huge no no for me until almost 2 years post-op..now when I eat it, it's toasted and I eat it only on occasion..maybe 2 slices/week..and no buns of anytype wha tso ever

They haven't completely stopped for me yet but they have gotten better. I tried several OTC remedies that didn't help. Then had my Dr prescribe Losec for me. It's the Canadian version of Prilosec which is available OTC in the US. It's been a lifesaver. No more foamies. At first he thought I'd only need it for 2 months so once that time had passed I stopped taking it and the foamies came back. They weren't as bad but they were still there. So he's prescribed another 2 months worth at half the dose I was on before and it's working again. Good luck.
