We now know which Zellers stores will be taken over by U.S. retailer Target.

The company bought the leasehold interests for up to 220 Zellers stores from Hudson's Bay Company for more than $1.8 billion earlier this year.

There will be three stores in Hamilton at Centre Mall, South Hamilton Square [Upper James and Rymal] and the Flamborough Power Centre just east of Clappison's Corners.

In Burlington, Target will open at the Burlington Mall and Millcroft Centre.

One will open in St. Catharines at the Niagara Pen Centre.

And there will also be several more Target stores across the GTA including one in the Milton Mall Shopping Centre.

They are also opening Marshall's.  There is one in Mississauga.

I guess the U.S. is still invading Canada.  Can't they get past the whole "Laura Secord spoiling their invasion" thing? 

These are the Ontario locations that have been designated for Target.  Im SO looking forward to them coming here!!!

whew had to read the list carefully as we thought the Zellers i work at was going to be one that was made into a Target.  A good thing in one way but bad in another that we weren't sure if they would take over our lease as we're a franchisee and not corporate.

Yes its true  a zellers cashier told me a few weeks back that would be nice by then i will have my surgery and buy some new clothes..that be cool

Honestly?  I don't think this means anything.

There is already a Walmart in the US and Canada.  BUT they sell very different items in the US, for cheaper prices.

I'd bet we'll just have the same Zellers "stuff", and for more money.
