Thanks for thinking of me, Mo! I agree - the whole idea of congestive heart failure had me on pins & needles - what a scary thing to have! I feel so blessed to have been given a pass on that. It's funny how much we take for granted, isn't it? So many things that could go wrong & we never even give them a thought until it hits close to home. I feel pretty lucky.....
You're so right about this summer & the rash issue. We've just had the wettest spring ever, according to Environment Canada & now they're talking about 90 ° by Tuesday! I'm staying inside where it will be cool - LOL! My doctor recommended Monistat cream for my rash so I guess I'll stock up on that and Canesten cream...I think I'll need them! Oh, I can't wait to be thinner........

Hey Deb, I think we take things for granted (to some extent) to maintain even a little bit of sanity. Can you imagine how loopy we'd all be if we didn't just assume that life will carry on for us without bumps or disasters?
You will truly be amazed how quickly you'll start seeing an improvement in your health ... I was able to throw away my cane BEFORE surgery ... just 15lbs loss with optifast made all the difference. Now I'm shocked (in a good way) by the things I can do in a day. Pre-surgery I'd be lucky to be able to walk the dogs .... and by walk I'm talking walk-50-feet-sit-walk-50-feet-turn around-sit - etc. It really was awful. And that would be it for the day. Just today I walked the dogs (1/4 mile, turn around, 1/4 mile...no sitting), tidied the house, mowed the grass (riding mower tho' cuz it's over an acre), built a privacy screen, trimmed the weeds, put 2 loads of laundry out on the line, fertilized the garden, brought in the laundry, folded & put it away AND changed the sheets on my bed! I'm pooped, but in such a happy way.....AND it was warm but I didn't break a sweat during all that, and seldom do. we'll see what happens Tues when the temp soars.
Can't wait to hear about your progress ... you're going to have such a great time!

Oh Mo! You have no idea how happy I was to read your reply today - it's been a frustrating day for me! Lots of back pain & trouble walking - couldn't go out and about as planned with my DH! It took me most of the day just to vacuum (do a bit, sit, do a bit more, sit - all the while sweating like mad) and dust. After reading your post, I felt so hopeful and encouraged - oh, I want it to be like that for me too! I lost my beloved Golden Retriever, Amber, to cancer & I really want another dog so much, but I can't even take a dog for a walk because I just can't manage it, even with my cane - Grrrrr! I'm so tired of living like a hermit and sweating constantly and having such back pain. I feel SO much better by reading how much life has changed for you! Thanks for the wonderful lift to my spirits, Mo!

Yes, I know it is (sigh) - I guess it's just our nature to want everything now!!!! I love reading everyone's stories and progress and I get so impatient, but I know it will happen and I really do need this time to make all my preparations and get a complete understanding of what it all will really mean to my life. Thanks for the reminder....
