Sleep Study Tonight

A few months ago I had placed a call to the sleep clinic asking for a prescription to have my pressure tested as I thought that it was a little on the lite side.  They called my local Medigas and gave the ok.  After the test they upped my pressure from 7 to 10.  2 weeks ago I got a call from the Sleep Clinic setting up an appt with Dr. Munt to follow up as I havent seen him in about 8 years.  I saw him Monday morning and told him about my upcoming surgery.  He suggested that I come in for another sleep study to make sure that my CPap is at the right pressure prior to surgery.  Tuesday when I got home from work there was a message for me to call to set up overnight stay. I called this morning on my break and am going in tonight for 9 pm.  

Wow that was fast. 

I guess this is a really good thing as I will have the results to take with me to see Dr. Zupnik (medical internist)  on tuesday.

Yipppeeee!  When you go again for the sleep study, are you able to sleep with your cpap at it's current settings?

My understanding is that I will start out with CPap at my normal setting and they will tweek it if need be (I dont know if it is while sleeping or after study).  I will let you know.

Well, I am back from sleep study.  They upped my level from 10 to 11.  And as posted they changed the level while I was asleep. 

Alls well and do not need a followup with Dr. Munt at this time.
