Warning re new front-of-package nutirition labelling
The New England Journal of Medicine has published an opinion piece on the new food industry trend of marking Sugars, Fats and Salt on the front of their packaging. They claim it can be misleading for comsumers.

It confirms what we were taught in our NUT classes - that we need to carefully read the complete labels on the side of the package for the values that affect us, post-RNY.
We shouldn't rely on the front of the package, as it seems to be a marketing ploy.

As someone who has/is having WLS, you should become EXPERT label readers. Not the front of the box, agreed, the NUTRITIONAL information. Great reminder for us all, thanks Gaby.
