If you were over 300 pounds.....
I lost about 15 lbs on two weeks of Optifast, but here's something no one has commented on yet...I gained about 18lbs having surgery!!!!!!!!! YES that was GAINED!!! I was shocked when I weighed myself the next day because I had expected to have just kept losing from the bliss of Optifast...remember, especially for Laproscoptic surgeries that you are pumped full of air and fluids...this stuff has weight when it is trapped inside your body. You will most likely lose this really quickly especially when you start moving around and things get going so to speak...please don't be shocked or dismayed when the scale slaps you the day after surgery...it is really normal...good luck!!
I was never on Optifast..my surgery was done in the USA and we were put on Carnation Instant SF....and I was on it for (2) weeks and allowed a high protein, low carb dinner...I believe I lost about 8lbs prior to surgery,
prior to surgery 323lbs....4 years post-op maintaining between 108- 114 lb loss.
life is AMAZING when you continue on the right path~!. Use your surgeons gift to the fullest~!
