Yes, her hormones may be in overdrive - perhaps from the surgery, not necessarily being perimenopausal. It's common.

For me, it wasn't an "instant" thing. I first noticed it when I wasn't sweating like crazy the summer after surgery (had surgery in March). Now I'm cold all the damned time - I wear a sweater or jacket every damned day in my office, the bus is a KILLER. I felt the heat for some reason last summer, this summer - nothing. I was out for a few hours on a patio today and heat-wise was just fine - it was the humidity that got me. Came home, had a quick shower, and now I'm freezing again. LOL What's funny is.... I rarely sweat anymore. It's weird. And I don't "smell" either - even if I forget deoderant. Wierd.
