ID
This might seem like a strange question, but how have you all handled your photo id postop? I had to show ID for something the other day and was thinking that it won't take long after surgery before you will look dramatically different than your ID. Both passports and drivers licenses are good for five years (not sure about health cards...I still have the old red and white). Have you had to renew early to get a more accurate picture? Has anyone ever questioned why you look different or has it caused any problems?

I've been told that I am like a chameleon. My looks change from day to day and not from weight loss. My own father didn't recognize me one day as my hair was acting weird that day. I didn't bother changing my ID at all and never encountered any problems. A few people have had questions about their passports and they just showed their other ID with their fat pics and told them they had WLS. Most of us have a card of some sort from our surgeon and they have shown them that and that was it. You could always get a new passport if it really bothers you. I need to get a new one even though it's not expired due to name change but I don't feel like waiting years to change all my ID so will bite the bullet and pay the fee to get a new one.
