Minor rant and a rave

So, I went to Tim's to pick up lunch today (thank you nice person who gave me a Tim's card!). 

Rant:  Chicken snackers.  OMG.  Is that real chicken??  Seriously, it tasted so bad, I had 2 bites and threw the whole GD thing OUT.  By far, the worst thing I've ever attempted to eat.  Do not buy.

Rave:  Iced coffee!  I bought the iced coffee, no "base" (full of sugar), just coffee and milk over ice.  THEN... I had a brainstorm (gawd forbid)... and when it was about 1/2 done, poured in a Premier shake.  I think I heard angels sing, no lie.

The chicken in the snackers is like rubber.  Soooo gross.  That is how the chicken in McDonald's salads used to taste.  I hear they are better now though.  Love the idea of the Premier shake in the iced coffee, going to have to try that one.  Thanks for the good idea Karen.

I learned about the coffee with no base. That is my new fab minus the protein lol

It really is good. (Too bad it's so hot everywhere that the ice melts quickly and I don't have more to add!).  I've only recently added protein shakes to my plan.  Having trouble getting all my food in, for some reason.  The shakes are helping.

Now - question - when I looked at the Tim's web site, they say that their flavour shots are sugar free.  I am so doubtful of that - any opinion?

They are sugar free.  A friend of mine owns a few Tim's and she used the flavour shots when she was on Opti.  I just get an iced coffee made with milk, no base and use a splenda flavoured packet.  I have both French Vanilla and Hazelnut.  You could carry a vile of Davinci with you if you wanted to.  LOL   I do the same as Mc****'s with their iced coffee and they are $1 for any size right now so super good deal, just make sure they leave out the base, they have no sugar free bases there at all.

Oh, I'd love to see the reaction of me carrying a "vial" of anything to work. HAHAHA!

Okay, tomorrow I'm going to try a flavour shot! Wish I had a Rotten Ronalds closer that Square One, don't feel like walking over. lol

ETA:  The server at Tim's -  for heaven sakes, NO I don't want a cookie or donut!  She looked at me like I was seriously nuts.  (ahem)

Just an FYI, the flavour shots are not sweet so  maybe grab a splenda or two in case you like it a bit sweeter.  The mint flavour shot in an iced coffee is very good as is the caramel.

Here's what ****** me off.  You order an iced coffee - no base.  But add a flavour shot instead.  And then they charge you .45$ for the flavour shot.  I asked "do I get a discount for not using the base??  Then why do you charge me for the flavour shot??"  Blank stare....

Today one of our girls wanted some ho****er for a cup of soup.  Tims was going to charge her $1.60 for it (same as a tea).  Are you KIDDING ME??  I went to A&W and got the water for free.  As water should be. 

I do McD's - because at least it's a fair price.

I know they are asking wait staff to push more product, ie: everytime i go into Cdn Tire gas bar they ask me if i want "CHips or chocolate bar today".... geesh, gum or a drink? I can handle but damn, stop asking me for chips and chocolate.

And I'm not a coffee drinker so I don't have to worrry about Timmies, baked goods, thank God. I stay far far away.

Although  you're coffee suggestion sounds good.
