Is this the beginning of a stricture?

The past couple of days, I've been feeling a discomfort immediately after I've eaten or drank.  And by immediately, I mean before I get the next bit in my mouth I feel discomfort.  I'm wondering if this is a precursor to a stricture.  If it happens again throughout today, I'm going to call the clinic, but thought someone could shed some light on it as well.

Thanks.

Can you describe what you mean by discomfort?  When I had a stricture it was full-out puking everything (and water) up at it's worst.

No throwing up, just a feeling like I've eaten too much even though I've only had a bit of food or water.

Wasn't as bad today, so maybe it's like the poster below said - just my nerve endings coming back and the sensations are more apparent.

This could just be the nerves in your tummy coming back to life after the surgery - you are getting feedback..

Chew, chew, chew small amounts is my only advise other than checking with the clinic.
Sometimes the best support  you can get isn't all purple puddles and pink rainbows.

most definatly if you feel something is not right, please do not rely on a message board to determine what or if you need some help.....when describing pain.....what you describe and how someone interprets it, may be faulty and not the best course of action...PLEASE..call your bariatric team or clinic immediately.

hope you feel better soon.

prior to surgery 323lbs....4 years post-op maintaining between 108- 114 lb loss.

life is AMAZING when you continue on the right path~!.  Use your surgeons gift to the fullest~!
