Confirmed Stricture
A week ago last Monday I had a meal and within 2 hours started throwing up and didn't stop for 6 hours. 
There was absolutely nothing left but just mucus (tmi) by the end, and I started feeling better. I placed a call to my surgeon but we missed each other playing telephone tag.
On Tuesday I was doing great till after supper and then started the vomiting again which lasted all night. Everytime I tryed laying down, up more would come. Needless to say I didn't get much sleep and then waited till 9:00 am to try calling surgeon again. By this time I couldn't even keep down water. Definately not fun. When I talked to Dr. Klein and told him my symptoms, he confirmed that I did indeed have a stricture. Ultimately he would have preferred that I could wait a week or two to have it repaired because if it is done too early like prior to 6 weeks out the patient usually has to have it done a second time, but because I couldn't even keep fluids down he wanted me in Toronto by noon, where Dr. Hagan was going to do the dialation for me.
Arrived at 12:30, in at 2:20 and out of recovery by 3:00pm and on my way home. Dr. Hagan said that there was some food still stuck in the stricture so he was not able to dialate it as much as he would have liked and that I might have to have the dialation done again in a couple of weeks.
Well as if on que, last night after a supper that I have enjoyed before about 2 hours later it started all over again. Stopped the communication with the porcelain god around 3:30 am, got a few hours sleep and now am very afraid to eat something.
I know I will have to bite the bullet and try something, but the really hate the reaction I could have.
I will try and get through today and see what happens before I call Dr. Klein again. I want to make sure that it is the same before I make the call.
Once this stricture is taken care of again, will that be the end of it? Will it be something that I have to worry about all the time?

Ugh, sorry to hear that Allyson.
For some people, like myself, one stricture, one fix. For others, more strictures and fixes unfortunately. It's not something that can be predicted. Hopefully, if this is another stricture, it will be your last.

Papaya enzyme will work for stuck food, especially well for meat. It will not in any way help with a stricture.
