Morning all :)

Nice sunny day after last night's light show.  Ironically, with the tornado warnings yesterday I couldn't help but note that the free movie being shown tonight at City Hall is "The Wizard of Oz" - warped sense of humour that I have.

Working then off to the Dr this afternoon.  I *think* I'm taking tomorrow off - yahoo!

RNY 5+ years - maintenance

B - coffee with milk x 2, protein shake
S - 1/2 Kashi peanut bar, 3 cherries
L - leftover asian stirfry with beef
S - nothing, at the Dr.
D - either going out or getting take-away - not sure what I feel like yet!

Have a great day everyone :)

Jackie, those last 30 will come off.  I got to my lowest weight well into my third year out.  Just keep plugging away.

Thanks for the boost.  I must admit I've been having my doubts as I've been at this point for some time (i.e. loose 10lbs, gain 8lbs, loose 5lbs, gain 7lbs).

I'm now trying the Beck Diet Solution (I also started seeing a therapist every 6 to 8 weeks) so hopefully that will help with my getting off track every few weeks.

I think the key is being mindful - mindful of your attitude, emotions, AND what you're putting in your mouth everyday.  Patience also helps, even though I know it's difficult and self-defeating thoughts can creep in.  Good on you for seeking therapy - an excellent support.

Good morning!

I took a "mental health day" today, following a bit of a rough day yesterday.  So I started the day with breakfast, and just finished my workout: 25 minutes on the elliptical and >20 minutes of weight training.  Feeling much better than yesterday!  The only other plan for today is a trip to Costco.

RNY April 11/11

B - 1/2 C Greek yogurt, 1/3 C strawberries, 2 Tbsp Kashi Go Lean cereal

S - decaf tea w/ skim milk

L - 2-3 oz turkey breast, 1 cracker, 1/2 oz light cheddar, veggies and tzatziki

S - protein drink, maybe a peach (not together)

D - no idea, maybe scrambled eggs and tomato slices

Have a great day!

Hey Karen - looks like we're similar in timing and weight - you're doing well,. aren't you?

Off for my long walk with Balou today - last week we did around 10 km. Looking forward to it, because we need to take advantage of the weather - winter is starting to scare me already.

B - 1 slice toast, large milky tea
S - Greek joghurt w strawberries
L - 2 oz cheese + 1 pear, 1 turkey pepperette
S - protein shake
D - tossed salad w grilled chicken
1.5 litre water

Multivitamins and B12 in, but calcium/D3 still to go.
