Social Work Change Up Today at TWH

Today when I went in to TWH I was supposed to meet with Jairo whom I knew from the support group but instead I met with Jennifer - I'm not sure if they frequently do this or not but I wasn't expecting it so just letting y'all know that my appointment ended up being with someone else.

I know Jairo had mentionned at the support group that they had hired 2 new social workers so maybe that's what happened.

Regardless, Jennifer was very nice and the appointment was done after 40 minutes.

I also met with Jennifer and liked her, though I was scheduled with her so it wasn't a surprise. I don't think a last minute change is typical, perhaps Jairo was ill or something?

He came out first and was talking to Patrice and even said hello to me - I turned to my husband and said that is who we were meeting with but then he left and Jennifer came out. 

Hmmm, odd. Maybe Jairo had an existing patient that needed an emergency appointment or there was an accidental overbooking or something? I'm sure if you were concerned and asked they'd tell you why it was changed.

Nah I wasn't concerned - I was just looking forward to chit chatting with Jairo after seeing how kind he was at the support group.  Jennifer ended up being just as wonderful and kind  - no complaints.  Everyone at TWH seems so nice.

My dietician appointment is with Katie and my Psych appt is with Sarah Royal?

I think I have seen 3 different social workers at TWH since I started, and all my appointments were with Jairo, who I saw once. That is alright everyone there is great so no problem. The social worker is the only one that I have seen different people, the rest of the team has always been the same. You will like Katie she is great. Best of luck with the rest of your appointments.

 I was told on Tuesday when I was there for my NP appointment that they had a new SW starting at the end of this month and that it would take some time for them to train him/her and that my appointment in November may be able to get moved up if I call sometime in late September or early October.  
   Did you need to submit anything at the social worker appointment, and what type of things did they want to discuss...just curious as this is my next step in the process.
