Morning all :)

Working today, having a lunch meeting (where we're apparently having pizza - sigh), then braving the predicted thunderstorms on the way home. Good thing I remembered my trusty umbrella! Forgot my protein shake at home this morning - boo!

RNY 5+ years - maintenance

B- coffee with milk x 2 or 3
S - 21g old cheddar, 2 triscuits, a couple of apple slices
L - 1 slice pizza (toppings unknown, and hoping it's not "pizza pizza" lol)
S - chai tea fog
D - spinach salad with mushrooms, onions, toasted almonds, bacon and grilled chicken with poppyseed dressing
S - not sure yet

Have a great day everyone! :)

Karen, being this far out of surgery, do you always plan your eating for the whole day, every day.  (not to be tken as a scarcastic question)

B- protein bar
S - fruit
L - beans and quinoa salad and yoguart
S - cheese string
D - chicken, tomatoe/cucumber salad

Yep, I sure do!  It honestly keeps me on track and mindful, which I NEED to be successful at this.  Left to my own last-minute devices, I'd be a bit of a train wreck. LOL   I even check menus at restuarants prior to going, if I know I'm going to be eating there.

Heading out later today and not home til Tuesday.  I am low carbing all weekend and bf is being his usual pig self so this should be a fun weekend away.

B - bowl of homemade chicken veggie soup, heavy on chicken and veggie and basically no broth in the pot

S - yogurt and an apple

L - taco salad, yogurt, handful of red grapes

D - guts of a chicken fajita

Biggest challenge is going to be no alcohol all weekend.

You lost me at "no alcohol all weekend".   At the cottage.  On the long weekend.  With bf who is being his usual pig self.  LOL

I gave it up the first year after surgery so am giving it up again til Thanksgiving.  Thankfully he is bringing desserts and sweets are not my thing but he also packed a bag of chips, which are a weakness for me.   I am strictly doing fish and chicken and he is having ribs and steak all weekend.  That part will bug me a bit as I bbq the steak and I am having something else.  I told him to go to the other side of the island when he decides to eat the chips or I may kill him.  LOL

*laughs*

Yeah, chips are killer for me too.  Thankfully Joe's only junk that he buys/eats is ice cream, which I can easily not have, without temptation.

I'm posting again because I'm going to try to plan for a stellar eating day.  Mostly because I'm going camping this weekend, and the trailer is already full of crap food - which I know I won't be able to resist.

B - coffee with creamer
S - greek yogurt and granola
L - homemade turkey bean soup
S - a few almonds
D - cheese tortellini for the family - and a slice of meatloaf for me.  With one bit of the noodles. ;0)
S - cheese and hot sauce with pickles!

Working all day today, trying to get ready for the classroom full of kids coming my way Tuesday.  Feeling stressed and woefully unprepared.  This is why I go camping on this weekend, so I don't obsess and work the whole time!

Erica, I've been meaning to ask you about school this year, knowing that your position was going to be changing and that you weren't exactly thrilled about it.  Here's to a positive first day, awesome kids (what grade(s) are you teaching?), and a fabulous year. xo

I'm excited about my class this year - and being back with kids.  Sad though that I'm not doing what I was doing for the last three years - I really LOVED my old job.  So it's bitter-sweet.

I'm teaching grade 6.  In a middle school - so they aren't the top dog kids, they are the "little fish". lol

I'm feeling woefully unprepared today...
