I was wondering if the NUT appointments cost extra? Or is it covered by ohip?

All of your appointments through the bariatric centre are completely covered by OHIP.

Some people choose, post-op, to self-pay for a dietician. But that is totally separate from the bariatric programs.

I got a referal from my Doctor for two years before surgery to see the dietitian the local hospital and it was all covered by OHIP still. Ask your Doctor maybe

I believe the only thing not covered by OHIP is the script for the meds you might get when you leave the hospital, but if you have coverage, you're good.

if you have certain health conditions i know a nutritionist would be covered under ohip.. but for the average joe with no other health issues a nutritionist is not covered..
