behaviour victory!
Good morning all!
Yesterday was a crazy, stressful day...yet I managed to stick to the program!! I left my house at 6am to head for Toronto (from Huntsville) for my PATTs appointment. I arrived just after 9 (had first optifast shake as I drove). Everything went very well and I was done by 12:30. I made my second shake in the parking garage before hitting the road.
Next stop was London (had to take something to a friend). I got there about 2:30, dropped off some stuff and then was headed for Stratford where I was planning to spend the night at a friends house and come home today. However, on route, I got a frantic phone call from a friend who was stranded in Penetanguishene (sp?) and needed a ride home (to Huntsville) as they couldn't miss work today. I finished driving to Stratford, went to see my friend at work (to explain why I wouldn't be spending the night after all) and headed toward Penetang.
I arrived in Penetang around 7:30pm and realized I felt very shaky. I quickly made a shake and drank it and felt much better. I rescued my friend and headed for Huntsville. I got home just after 10pm and had my final shake of the day. I put 973km on my car yesterday and spent all but the three hours in PATTs in the car!
The victory part of this is that any other time I spent this much time on the road (or any time on the road) I would have hit several drive-thrus...and I stuck to having my shakes and lots of water! Very proud of myself! (Although I stopped to pee a record number of times!!!LOL)
