We just booked a Walt Disney World vacation from April 21st - 28th 2012 - I am anticipating surgery sometime in December or January.

Is there anything you have to be concerned with in regards to flying post surgery?

Sorry if this question sounds a little naive

You will be just fine!  You will just have to be a bit diligent about the food choices while travelling (temptation and all) but physically there is nothing to worry about.

Have a great trip!

Should have no problems by 3 months out.  Do however expect fitting in the seats better, not sweating your ass off and loving the fact that you  will be 50 + pounds down by then.  Book cancellation insurance just in case.  Love disney...

I had a wedding cruise 2 months after my surgery and did fine. I got a little freaked out at all the food because there were too many choices. Be prepared to know what you can eat and then carefully look at menus and the like. I was just so unsure of hidden sugars.

Flying was a breeze and it just gets better as you get thinner.

I am 2 weeks postop today and I am flying to the Bahamas 2 weeks from this friday so just a little over 1 month postop. I did take out cancellation insurance just in case but I don't anticipate any problems in fact it will be so nice to be less crowded in the seat

I had surgery Sept 1st and had a trip to Vancouver scheduled for Oct 28th to Nov 8.  Guelph clinic told me I had to cancel it or post-pone my surgery.  They said no traveling for 3 months but sounds like every clinic is different.
