Sleep Study Follow-Up Question
Knowing you have sleep apnea is important immediately postop. Anesthesia effects your respirations and as you are drowy post op you dont tend to breath well.
I have a follow up with my sleep clinic about 6 months after I have my surgery to see if I will need a pressure adjustment or can stop all together.
If you do have apnea they will most likely schedule a 2nd sleep study to adjust your pressure or they may opt to do a home study.
Either way if you do have apnea it is worth being treated just to feel the physical imprvement of getting enough oxygen.
