I don't think it is recommended. I believe Crohns is one of the actual, documented reasons to get a VSG (no intestine involvement).

crohns is an IBD that disqualifies you for RNY but qualifies you for vsg... you have enough danger losing bits of your small intestine anyway with that disease no doc is going to want to remove any.

Sometimes the best support you can get isn't all purple puddles and pink rainbows.
