7 1/2 months post-op Now Pregnant!
That is what they suggest - they so recommend waiting 18-24 mths. I know my surgeon in our 1:1 appointment discussed birth control even though I had told him my DH had had a vasectomy. He said to be very careful...

Are you ok with this????????I mean you have obviously been through so much this year and you are pregnant by your "new" boyfriend. This is a big deal ! How new is he?Honey you have 4 kids and if you have a baby and things don't work out with this guy you are alone with 5 kids.Don't mean to butt in but I hope you are ok.Getting rid of a hubby and all these changes in such a short time, you really need to look after yourself.
Congrats if this is something that you are happy about!
For me, this would be the worst thing that could happen. I am not in a serious relationship with anyone .... but still 'like the company of men' from time to time.
This makes me want to take the pill 12 times a day, use the male AND female condom, get the injection, the implant and the IUD just to make sure I don't get pregnant!!!!

I'm with you Tammy! Heck, I'd even consider getting my tubes tied!
Getting pregnant that early out from surgery would scare the **** out of me and there is no way I would continue the pregnancy. The risk of complications for myself and the baby is not something I would want to go through.
But, to each their own....

No one ever wants to start the pro/anti pro abortions debate - but it comes to legality and the right for EVERY woman to have the ultimate say over what she does with her own body. It's that simple. You can be pro-life all you want, but you would not change any one's mind. There are HUGE problems associated with having babies too early on after WLS, which is MUCH more than your tiniest blip statement. Severe mental and physical defects have happened, and some people would rather choose to not have an innocent baby suffer needlessly.
I personally am Pro-CHOICE - Everyone woman should have the choice to choose.
And wishing that someone doesn't ever have kids is like being pro-abortion - you wanted her children dead before they were even conceived.
