What are you eating/doing today? (Tuesday)

Morning all,

Working today as per the usual, then a Dr's appointment this afternoon.  How sad that leaving early for a medical appointment feels like a holiday. LOL!   What I am *thrilled* to report is that the increase in weight I had from medication is almost all GONE again.  Thank you GAWD.  I've realized that there is no greater fear and worry (read: paranoia) than regain when you're a few years out.  I almost needed therapy. LOL  (By the way, I really think adding back in a protein shake in the morning has helped).

RNY 5+ years - maintenance

B - coffee with milk x 2, protein shake
S - 21g cheddar, 2 Triscuits, a few red grapes
L - tuna sammich with tons of veggies & a little extra mayo, 1 slice of dark rye
S - nothing, at the Dr.  G2 for the ride home.
D - leftover BBQ steak and grilled veggies, 1/3 baked potato, a little sour cream on the tater
S - cup of herbal tea, likely Bengal spice with a shot of sf cinammon syrup

Have a good one. :)

S - nsa pudding or protein bar

Water and vits in.  Been slacking in the water....must fix this!!!  It was much easier getting it in when it was hot out, now i lean toward coffee....toooooo much coffee.

I drink too much coffee too lately.  Then I wonder why I'm jittery and dry-mouthed at 3 PM. LOL

I'm at my first real stall since the surgery six months ago.

It's been 10 days since I lost anything, and I actually gained .5 lb
I'm attributing it to my lack of exercise during the week I was sick with Parainfluenza.
A little frustrating, but I am on the mend (finally) and will start exercising for real this week.

B - 1 slice toast, tea
S - Greek joghurt w blueberries
L - 2 oz Babybel, 1 pear, 1 turkey pepperette
S - protein shake
D - Salad and homemade smoked salmon tartelette
1 litre water in the evening

Multivitamins and B12 in, will do calcium + D3 this evening.

Let's consider it a "pause" instead of a stall.  Plus you've been sick and strangely enough, I was reading on another board a few days ago where someone was asking if others also stalled or gained weight when they had a cold, etc.  The consensus was "yes", for whatever reason!

Yo!!!
Working as well, hoping to be motivated enough to go for a run tonight. I'm supposed to be going 3 times a week, (once with the Learn to Run group at the Running Room), but lately, i've been lucky to get to the group. I did go on sunday am, tho. (yay me)

had bloodwork this am, so fasting from 8pm last night. arrggh...

B - egg, coffee with warm milk from my fave coffee place
S - yogurt with all bran buds, laughing cow cheese with 2 saltine crackers
L - pork loin chop with mixed veggies (green beans, baby carrots)
S- yogurt with All bran buds again (need to increase fibre)
D - not quite sure yet. Probably chicken (leftover from a bbq chicken i bought at walmart), veggies.
S - SF Fudge bar from DQ (50cal)

I didn't realize that you'd started running - good for you.  How do you find the Running Room group?  I know Marny really likes it, I've looked into it online.

I really enjoy it. Its a positive bunch of people. I was ecstatic at the beginning, when i found myself in the middle of the group. Now, i'm kind of at the end, but f*** me, i can do 8 minutes at a time, 20 minutes total, and i'm not a sopping piece of rotted meat at the end!! I like the group, it keeps me accountable. We're almost done, two more weeks left, and we move up to 10 minutes this week. It's a 45 min drive for me to get there, tho, so i'm looking for a group to run with closer to home, because i know i won't do it on my own, on a regular basis.

I've made it public knowledge that i'm learning to run, so i get a lot of people ask me how i'm doing and stuff, so that helps me be accountable too. I dont know what i'm going to do when winter comes, i'm too clumsy to run on an unstable surface, so I'll probably have to resort to the treadmill, but that's ok. Just boring to run with nothign to look at.

It's been a goal of mine, to run once i got down far enough in weight. The other people in the group are so supportive, they know i've had surgery, and where i've come from, which is cool. I'm kind of an inspiration to some of them, they say, which is kind of weird for me. lol

anyway. I'm loving it. Tho i havent yet expereinced that "runner's high", still waiting.

So if I'm understanding correctly, you go to class one per week and then practice on your own twice per week? That sounds manageable, even to a sloth like me. lol  I need some proper running shoes, however.  My cute little Pumas aren't going to cut it.   As for the treadmill - I actually like it quite a lot.  That's about the only part of the gym I miss. lol

yes, that's right. They do have runs on wednesdays and sundays, which anyone can go to, but i'm not driving to Barrie three times a week. I'm sure i'll like the treadmill once i get back on it.
