sugar substitutes

I use splenda.  But give that much sugar in a recipe a little more thought.  Sounds like that's going to be one very sweet-tasting salad.  Depending on your tastebuds, you might want to cut back on the sweetener.

It is actually quite tart rather than sweet.  The salad the recipe makes is huge...in fact I usually only make it for pot lucks because my daughter and I can't even come close to finishing it.   But I figure it will be pretty high in protein and if I time it right I have a meeting coming up that I can take half of it to!  Also, I don't like the "juice" and use a slotted spoon to scoop out my beans, so I will only get the incidental sugar that may be on the beans.
