WONDERFUL day at Scenic Caves
First off, I apologize to TrudyLam and Monica - I did end up going hiking at Scenic Caves near Collingwood after all today.
It's not my fault - another OH'er saw my posts about being bummed that I couldn't make it, and heard that my plans for this weekend my old friend from out of town had also been cancelled, and she volunteered her husband and brother to come with us.
It was a gorgeous day, unexpectedly warm and sunny, and while there was a bit of mud, it was more the slippery leaves one had to watch out for. Most of the foliage has come down, and it's disintegrating on the surface of the rocks.
I cannot recommend the hike enough - it's fairly strenuous, but so worth it. There were people ziplining from on top of the cliff - it was great. I'm going to do that next summer, fer sure!
If you get the chance before winter hits, do go - it's pretty, and not too expensive (around $20)

That's so great!! I'm glad you had a good time. I was really worried about the mud after I called and they said it was so bad. I was considering going up there today with the kids but one of them spiked a fever this morning so we were homebound for the day.

I can't wait to go back as a post op..
My hubby and I went about four years ago and I didn't go into any caves felt too big especially for the frige one. So I sadly stood on the sidelines where I do most times.
I'm so tired of being the one behind the camera capturing all the fun family things that I'm never in the pictures for cuz I am not comfortable being in them.
I can't wait to be in more pics and doing more things.
