I finally found some Biotin at the Bulk Barn of all places.  It is by Swiss and comes in 300mcg tablets.  So what, you say?

The bottle doesn't specify a daily recommended dose.  How much should I take daily and how long before I can expect to see some benefit (ie. new hair or less hair loss)?

the ones I bought are 1000mcg's and I take 2 pills twice daily, I have found that they are working for me and my skin is doing better as well as I have had some regrowth on my hair line. I have been taking them for a month now and I think they are working.

I wouldn't expect too much from them. Supplementing biotin is only helpful when you are deficient in it, vitamin B7. Unless you have evidence from your labs that your biotin is low, I wouldn't expect supplementation to make any difference. When biotin is recommended due to a deficiency, people usually take at least 5000mcg a day.

I was told by the pharmacist to take one a day.  He also said it was a good vit B supplement.
