Oh, no, that screen name is the real me!
It's not just all about the surgery you know...
But, you're right, I'm not really nervous about the surgery any more. I don't like all fussing around when they prep you, like putting in the intravenous equipment and all of that, but I'm not afraid of going under the knife! I keep visualizing the other side of surgery, like the karate student visualizing the hand on the other side of the board.
Oh, sorry for the hijack from the purpose of this thread...

This thread is MEANT to be hijacked. It's social. Just like we're all having a meal together. :)
Well, keep the screen name then! It is rather cute. :)

Naaah - you're alright.
We all go through doubts - part of our makeup I think.
Finally went from Extremely Obese to just Obese today - feels really good after three weeks without the scales moving at all.
B - LAAAAARGE cappucino w cinnamon
L - 1 slice walnut bread, goat cheese, pate
S - pear + cheddar, tea
D - leftover Pulled chicken and baked beans
1 litre water
Multivitamins in, still working on the rest.

Wow, that is interesting. I was at the Ottawa post-surgical education class this week. We were told NOT to take any multivitamins while on Optifast as it is a complete nutrition drink when you take all 4 shakes per day. I wrote this down as I was surprised to hear it
Take care.

I'm not sure why, but it might be because I have a history of anemia, so I have been taking the extra iron for years. Who knows, though? All of the centres seem to have different instructions for the Optifast phase. I was looking forward to having sf jello along with my Optifast, so I was very disappointed when I received the hand-out from the Guelph clinic, where it is not allowed.
