What are you eating/doing today? (Wednesday)
Morning all :)
In such a good mood today! I'll be putting the finishing touches on my cover letter, sending that off, and then I guess I'll do my real work. LOL! A friend at work has been teaching me to scrapbook at lunchtime and I'm loving it. I am 1/2 way done my gift to Jesse aka. the rock star aka my slacker. I'll take a pic and show y'all who might be interested in my *cough* handywork when it's complete.
Plan for today:
RNY 5+ years - maintenance
B - coffee with milk x 2, protein shake
S - 1/2 honey crisp apple, 1 wedge LC cheese
L - small tuna wrap with lots of veggies
S - other 1/2 of apple, another LC wedge, perhaps a cracker
D - salisbury steak with mushroom/onion sauce, small spoon of mashed taters, carrots

Good luck with application of the new job, Karen. Scrapbooking looks like fun, I've always contemplated it but I am sooooo not creative. Can't wait to see your masterpiece :)

What I've found is that you don't have to be all THAT creative - they have some pretty awesome supplies you can purchase. The one I'm doing is pretty homemade though - I have a (very) small creative side :)

Can't believe I am the first to post on this one. (Edit to add: okay...second to reply :) Where is everybody?? :) Actually, I do not have a plan for what I will eat today besides all my vitamins, meds and various puffer things...hahaha. I do know there will be lots of hot tea involved.
Anyhoo, just wanted to say a quick hello. Prednisone is kicking in now and I'm finally on the mend. Yay! Back to work tomorrow, I think.

I'm working 5pm-1am today, ewy.. at last it's an easy shift cleaning toilets and stretchers all night

Today's plan:
14 months post-op and maintaining
B- I made egg mcmuffins today (egg, cheese, ham on an english muffin)
L- probably salad or cheese and crackers
D- I am making pork loin in the crock pot, I found a recipe that I want to try, mmmmmm! I will have it with cauliflower and broccoli and baby potatoes
snacks choices (but not too sure what I will have yet)- peanuts, fibre bar, banana, watermelon, tangerine
all water and vitamins in :)

Not much going on today. I'm contemplating going out after work to buy new running shoes. The pair I have now are old and they're hurting my feet. Not sure if I want to wait until the weekend...
On the menu today:
B: Protein Shake
L: Stuffed Mushrooms
D: BBQ Beef
S: Greek Yogurt and 1 or 1/2 pomegranate [depending on how hungry I am]
Ive noticed with my menus, I dont get in a lot of veggies. Is this a bad thing?? I find that I just dont have room for them after eating my protein. I try and get in some fruit every day but veggies are really lacking.
