When can you have Wendy's chili?
Hi,
Well the only beef I eat is extra lean ground beef, I also rinse it before putting it in recipes then season it. I cannot eat chicken, I get sick, but beef I can tolerate well.
As for Wendy's chili, I had it at 6 weeks out, as I travel on the road for work, now the first few times I ate only half of a small one, but now I can actually eat a whole small one at 9 weeks, it's low in fat high in protein, and so much better than Tim Horton's theirs is full of fat and no protein. Hey and it's only $1.89 a great value meal.
Good luck Sue

I had a little bit of Wendy's chili at about 3 months post op...very filling! I am over a year post op now and still can't do steak or roast beef and i don't plan to try again any time soon.
I can eat ground beef in any form with no trouble and often enjoy a few small homemade meatballs or a bit of meatloaf. The ground beef is very different from slabs of beef.

Guelph seems to be the only centre that preaches no beef for 6 months. although most people I know start eating ground beef before that time. I ate Wendy's chili in the early stages. It was my go to meal if we were traveling. It provided protein, it was cheap (couldn't eat the hole thing at first) and it tasted good and I never ever had problems with it..
Seems to me that people complain about more problems with chicken than with beef. I'm lucky I could eat anything.. just not a lot of it.
