Gotta say had a hard start with it, and even sneaked some goldfish crackers when making my son's lunch last night.. other than that and one other teeny cheat I've been very disciplined.

Just really struggling with wanting to eat some days, and making suppers for others makes that harder, but after  weighing myself last night  to find I've lost 9 lbs I was like "oh ok this is worth it" 9lbs in 4 days! If I keep up that average of 2lbs per day I will lose the 20 that the surgeon wanted.

Nice!  Having a positive attitude about it will help you.  I only lost 9 lbs in 2 weeks.  Keep it up.

Good for you! I like Optifast too!
I am on day 11 of 14 today and my cravings are very minimal. and I notice sometimes I just need the crunch so I am allowed 2 cups of either cucumber, celery, lettuce or pepper...I have 2 cups of cucumber and celery mixed! and I am good...I felt for hot the other night and I bought vanilla flavoured earl grey tea...it was like hot ice cream...without the cream and sugar...ok I have a big imagination.... but it helped..lol
I just wanted to share 1 thing that gets me through, maybe it will work for you!
Someone had questioned on the forum...why do some ppl have to do Opti and some don't ....
and someone responded she didn't know why but being on opti made her more prepared for the after surgery...cause all the cravings were over and everything new that she added was a BIG treat.
So i keep thinking my full fluids part is going to be soooo nice cause I will get to have yogurt and jello yummy.....which would other wise be BLAH had I not done the 2 week Opti.
take care!

Well I will still be on clear fluids til 2 weeks post op but hopefully just having things like jello and popsicles will be a treat, cuz right now we don't have those extras. I woud kill for some veggies now mmmm
Brings a question to mind though.. if you are ingesting things like raw veggies up until the night before your surgery, will you be required to do a bowel prep before surgery?

Just weighed myself for today and I dropped another 2 lbs. Shows how much I must have been snacking all day before ths journey.

no bowel prep is necessary, even with veggies. Congrats on doing well, but try to stay away from the snacks, lady!

yes ma'am LOL
It's all good though just had a weak moment and and those goldfish crackers are so small, I was so proud for losing the 9 lbs I thought oh 2 crackers won't hurt.. I will learn to reward myself with something other than food.. I will learn to reward myself with something other than food... I will learn to ....
