why are you so disorganized??

So today I had two appointments one at 10:30 that one was on time and I was in and out the sw I met with was so funny and down to earth. (loved her) then I had to wait until 2:00 for my psych appointment only to find out at 2 that he was running way late and if I could come back at 3. or try and rebook. We couldn't rebook so I decided to just wait it out.  When 330 came the receptionist came up to me and apologized and said how sorry she was and felt bad for me as i have been there all day!! finally he saw me at 345 to only find out that they doubled booked him at two different hospitals. ugh so unorganized so frustrating!

however i got to meet tons of people today and heard many amusing stories.

keep moving forward.

I'd love to know why they are so disorganized myself but I believe that answer will never come unforunately!  I had a rough day with them myself - I'm surprised I never ran into you! I think I was there until just after 10 dealing with my own administrative mess!

 TWH called on Thursday and left a message that my daughters two appointments for next Tuesday need to be canceled and rescheduled for Dec 20. They did not leave the times of said appointments (psych and one-on-one nutrition). 

So on Friday I called for my daughter to confirm we would take the two appointments on Dec 20. (Yes the date change is incredibly inconvenient for us but we will not delay the process by being choosy). I actually get someone on the phone (bonus) but she doesn't know what appointment times are available and she takes my phone # to call back!? 

She did not call back. So the process is delayed again by three weeks minimum but I wouldn't be surprised at this point if they forgot to call back and when I call them again on Monday or Tuesday that there will not be appt times available on Dec 20th. That could mean waiting until January when we did have hope of her surgeons appt possibly being just before Christmas.

Its a frustrating system and you just have to go with the flow for the sake of your own mental health. Of course some things simply cant be helped such as if a staff member is sick one day but its the bureaucratic bungling that has me shaking my head.

Thursday your file should go to rounds then the next step is the surgeon!
When I went for my one month followup saw Katie 15min late, then waited almost an hr for the SW only to be told oh she doesnt work here anymore! Gone for a month, yet when they called me the day before to confirm they didnt mention it! Now have to go back on the 8th. Should send them the bill for parking and gas!

haha leslie to funny. I actually sent my actual doctor a bill and handed it to her cause she use to take me 2-3 hours late every time. she laughed it off and apologized and said she would do better. (shes trying) however i dont think that TWH would be to keen on us sending them a bill for inconvenicing us. Also were you talking to me about my file going on rounds? just curious??

It's soo weird that they are so disorganized. They weren't when Hema was running the show.

I hope for the people that are starting to go thru the process now, that they get their crap together and get sorted out.

I was so sad the day Hema said she was moving to another department in the hospital!
