COFFEE
There has been a lot of discussion about this on the forum in recent months. To look at past discussions, try looking up "caffeine" or "coffee" in the search box.
My clinic said no caf, ever. As I tend to have a problem with moderation (of anything), I'm mostly staying away from it although I've been having a caf tea once every couple of weeks and had a half-and-half caf/decaf coffee once. Some clinics say it's ok in moderation.
The concern is about caffeine upping the odds of getting ulcers in the blind stomach. Someone posted links to some research stating that 80-90% of ulcers are caused by H. Pylori, which I absolutely believe. But personally, I don't want to mess with the remaining 10% of the odds, so I keep it extremely minimal.

All the info you posted is correct, I just wanted to mention one thing. The ulcers that are not caused by H.pylori are not caused by caffeine - they are caused by medications, usually NSAIDs and rarely steroids and others. The only time the consumption of caffeine is risky to your pouch is if you are drinking it while taking NSAID medications. I have not been able to confirm this through peer-reviewed study yet, but a pharmacist friend of mine tells me there is some evidence that combining NSAIDs with coffee/tea or alcohol appears to make the NSAIDs particularly dangerous to the stomach. But as a RNY post-op, you're not taking NSAIDs anyway so this isn't a concern for you - just interesting info in general.
TWH doesn't restrict caffeine at all, not during optifast and not post-op either.
