I think that is awesome - a chance to actually be a part of a study about gastric bypass.
I would do it if I could. That's pretty neat.  What a chance to give back to the WLS community. Cool.

It sounds interesting. I would ask if there is any financial incentive. Most of these projects get $$ if you are giving up your time, there's parking etc... these should be some stipen invoved.

So glad they called, at least you know what it was now. I personally wouldn't want to do it.

I've had my eyes frozen by my opthamologist to test the pressure in them. It doesn't hurt and it doesn't take long. Peronally, if I wasn't borderline diabetic and they wanted me for the study, I'd do it.

 Wow I was so curious why they would have called you!! im sure you wernt expecting that!! haha. I dont think you should feel bad if you dont participate, but at the same time its always a nice feeling to give back because i know that am personally extremely greatful for this opportunity as i'm sure you are too.... but either way, no pressure!!

I was hoping it was something a little more exciting than a volunteer research study!  Heh.....I had all sorts of ideas floating in my head and none of them were true!
