AND......Surgery!
At long last! I had my surgical appointment today with the TWH team and it was great!
My surgery is booked for January 25th at 11am!
I am very excited and Dr. Jackson's team is amazing - even though they may not do my surgery!
I had a blast in the waiting room chit chatting with various people from OH and even making some new friends (the surgical assessment appointments were running about 2 hours behind today for the later appointments). Emily I think I saw you but I got to chit chatting with Sandy and then they called you on in!!
I jumped on that scale and despite my fear I had not gained a single pound since my initial appointment - in fact I had lost 0.4 pounds! Ha!
It was such a relief to be there....when I first got there I saw Toni ordering her Optifast and said please tell me it's the TWH doctors today and she confirmed so I was all at ease! Whew.....
I was offered a ton of dates in January (for those that have appointments next week).....specifically she offered me January 11th, 17th, 20th....but I thought really hard about all of those dates..and decided that since my daughters birthday was on the 20th I would be a little more patient and let her celebrate her special day....then have my surgery - hence the January 25th date. I feel totally happy and content with this date.
I can not believe it. I feel like I'm in shock or something!
