Hi All,
I have been lurking here for a while. Just wanted to say.
My Doctor sent my referral to the registry Spetember 9th 2010. He told me it would take about a year. In August I went back to see him again as I had heard nothing. Turns out my file was "lost" during the bulk transfer from Toronto to Ottawa, I had lost 20lbs on my own thinking I was putting my "year" wait in. I had a pre-class in Ottawa in December. Hit kind of a depression to find out I had another year to wait. Then Ottawa transferred my to Humber River last week. Now to wait for the other appointments. Still trying to eat healthy, feels like I've been dieting my whole life.

You seem like a super suportive community. Time for me to stop lurking.

Once my file was transfered to Humber I had my first appt within 3mths...I don't think the waiting might be as long as you think...fingers crossed and keep up the good work...I lost 20lbs on my own and 14lbs on Opti... every little bit helps....GOOD LUCK!

Welcome Heather,
We all get frustrated and depressed waiting but when things start happening they happen quickly.
You're like the rest of us and dieted our whole lives.

Hi Barbie,
We might be walking the path hand in hand

They said that since I had already had the pre surgical assessment class, they were waiting to hear back from a manager about what classes I need, then they would call, Hopefully it is to give me a day to meet with the nutritionalist, therapist etc.
