What are you eating/doing today? (Thursday)

I love watching my 19-year-old son play video games, especially things like Portal, which is more of a puzzle game than a shoot-em-up game, and any medieval/sword/sorcery-type; I used to play Dungeons and Dragons with my husband (then boyfriend) back in our university days.

My son had taught me to play Flower back when I was sick last summer.  You make flowers bloom by touching the buds; it's like a meditation, in some ways.

While I was recovering from surgery, my son would play Skyrim for hours while I watched.  It's a beautiful game with gorgeous detailed landscapes to explore.  And sometimes you get attacked by wolves or bandits...oh, well...

However, after Christmas, my son bough himself some new games with his Christmas money, and he lost interest in playing so often, so I said, 'Teach me to play!'

There is a Twitter account called SkyrimMom which is some guy's 65-year-old mom's comments as she plays the game.  She sounds a lot like me...

Morning all!

Life busy but boring (fine with boring lol). Tomorrow I get an orientation at the Y with a trainer on how to use all the equipment properly. This should help up my exercise.

S - Low fat yogurt
L - Taco chicken W/ Salad

D - Sole w/ roasted cauliflower

Have a great day!

11 hour train ride home today. After being told Tuesday that my mom's chemo was no longer working and being ready to start a new even more toxic one yesterday, we received wonderful news. An error was made in the reading of the CT and she is in remission. It has been a whirlwind of emotions for the whole family going from one extreme to the other but thankfully the error was in her favor. I do believe we will be having a family party in early February when we are all together again to celebrate this.

B- had the guts of a bacon and egg mcmuffin at union station and a few coffees

The rest of the day I will have a mix of the following that I have with me.

Apples, cheese and crackers, babybel cheese, yogurt, either chili or roast chicken on the train

Can't wait to get home.

Ugh, an 11 hour ride?  No doubt you're anxious to get home to spoil that sick fiance of yours, lol.

I couldn't be happier for you and your family with your Mom's results.  That will be a wonderful celebration!

Cheers!
