If anyone has had their surgery at the Guelph location, who did you have and what are they like? and what was your wait time like?

The hospital and staff were great. It was nice to be in a small city with less traffic problems for my partner who was in a nearby motel, during my hospital stay. I had Dr. Jules Foute-Nelong. He was awesome! Skilled, kind, caring and good looking too!

My surgery was well over a year ago so I'm sure wait times have changed greatly.  I hope you don't have to wait too long but trust me, its worth the wait!

I was in Guelph.  Hospital was great.  Dr Reed was my doctor, he is one of the best.  Wait times are kinda long I think but well worth the wait.  I can't even remember feeling this good before.

So, even if I've already had most of the tests, counselling etc prior, will I still have to go through it all again?  I've seen a dietician, I've had an endoscopy, talked with a nutritional counsellor, had numerous tests and ultrasounds (told I have a enlarged fatty liver and spleen)...no way of speeding the process up at all, huh?? LOL

If you're willing to travel you can speed up the process by asking Guelph to transfer your file to a different center (TWH has much much shorter wait times).
Wishing I had known that was a possibility before I started the process at Guelph. Could have shaved a year off my wait!!
When were you referred to Guelph?

Thats a great point!!! I wish I would have heard about it sooner... BUT because I live in Guelph I kinda like the fact that I am less then 5 minutes from "my" team and if there was ever an issue and I needed to go to the hospital I know they have the contact info for Dr. Reed ... but I am a worry wart..LOL

Ya I tried to transfer but I was already in Guelphs program so they wouldn't switch me. My wait was long but nothing like it is now!!
