Ok here is the hairy GREEN eye monster coming out to play.. LOL
I was referred 1 month after you and I still have not had my post op nut class.. have not set eyes on Dr Reed yet.... in the one month that I was later then you for the referral its like that 1 month delay has set me back by at least 6 months further then you ... and that cheeses me off...LOL

That is weird cause everyone else who was referred around same time as me had a timeline much like mine. I wonder if your referral was misplaced and that's why your orientation was soooo much later than mine?
Mind you, I had to hound Guelph about my referral. They kept telling me that they didn't have it and to contact my GP. I did and they had the fax confirmation so Guelph said it must have went to Windsor. I checked with Windsor and they didn't have it either. It was September when they finally realized they had misplaced it and had it all along. So they put me in an orientation with others who had been referred in June. Had I not been persistent who knows if I'd have orientation yet!! Lol but after that initial mess up I haven't had any problems and Guelph is a great center.

I guess I'm just assuming Guelph since I live here...was just referred last week...crossing my fingers that it went through...guess I should call someone, do I call the dr's office where the referral came from or do I contact the registry?

Moving on doesn't mean you forget about things. It just means you have to accept what happened and continue LIVING
I had my surgery in Guelph January 19 2011, just over one year ago, with the amazing Dr. Reed. I had a really high BMI (68), and he handles the cases like that.
I went through the process at the Windsor clinic, where I live. I started there in April 2010, so I was about 9 months before I had surgery.
I really liked Guelph, everyone there was awesome, I just hated the 3.5 hour drive, every time I had to go there, there was a blizzard. Other than that, I wouldn't change a thing. I had a rough 6 weeks after surgery, but it is absolutely the best thing I have ever done!
