Haha....

So I'm sitting here looking at my incisions and it suddenly occurs to me....if during my VSG they removed at least 75% of my stomach....how the heck did they get it out of me?

hmm, sounds like a magic trick to me!  Voila....a quick poof of smoke....and then your stomach is on the outside of you suddenly!  Do they teach that trick in medical school?  Guess so!

Or...

you could just look at Youtube vidoes to actually see the procedure done.  But, ewww, I never want to see those surgery videos, myself.  I"m the squeamish type.

I would think I've heard something about them taking it out in pieces. I'm not sure though, it could just be a rumour I heard

I love this question!! Actually since you had your surgery and knowing you weren't expecting a VSG I figured it was time to start studying a little more about it just incase and just last night Hubby and I sat and watched a you tubevideo of the VSG surgery...That was something we both said after it was detached...what they showed was they put it in a bag and then pulled some of the bag out of the largest incision and then the remaining stomach before pulling the bag out...was really neat to see how its done.
