Thanks Joyce - hopefully my experience today will be less butt-sore than my last! LOL

Have a great time skating, Karen!  I did that a few years ago after not having done it in a couple of decades, and boy did I suck!  That will be one more thing to put on my to do list post-op. :)

Funny, it's been on my post-op list for about 3 years and this is the first year I had the guts to try it.  I need to learn to take some leaps and then looks. lol

Thank you Jackie :)  I guess I just wanted people to know that even though when you get further out and have days/weeks/months/years of "Well, I guess this is it.  Live your life." that there actually can be NSVs that happen.  I think sometimes us old-timers just "do stuff" and don't realize that it really is an accomplishment from where we started OR that we hadn't actually ever done that before, but it wasn't internally recognized.

EVERYONE should feel fabulous about the smallest NSV.  It may mean nothing to anyone else but you.

karen :)

That is freakin awesome, good for you Karen.

Yup, just because you are 6 years out doesn't mean you wont' have any new NSV's.

would love to get back in to rollerskating again but i don't know if my knees could take it. But dang, are there any roller rinks around anymore?

It's actually becoming rather popular again, especially with the increase in participation in Roller Derby leagues.

There's a roller rink around the corner from my house - been there for about 40 years I would imagine and still going strong!

That excites me.  I am almost 2 years post op and thought all of the successes were ending for me.  But you have renewed my hope!

Congratulations.  Skating scares the bejesus out of me!  I am so glad you are enjoying and it what a fun way to exercise!
