Shiloh B. is on the bench!

Shiloh had her VSG surgery yesterday with Dr. Reed.   All went well and she is in Guelph hospital on the bench today recovering.

Thanks Everyone !  Came home last night.. could not stand my roommate, had kept me awake all night (she had dementia, and kept wanting to know where she was, why she was there, how she got there, what time it was.. talked all night!).. so Dr. Reed agreed with me that I would be best resting in my own space :)

Everyone was awesome.. Dr Reed was just wonderful, Dr Rafeal - the anesthetist was fantastic and the nurses were sooo great.  I almost wanted to stay in the hospital because of them!  So caring !!

I didnt use my pain pump too much.. I dont like the feeling of not being in control.

So here I am.. 72 hours later.. uncomfortable, but in my own bed, sipping, feeling weird gurgling in my new stomach and my belly, still have a wee bit of trouble urinating and I finally farted.. so the gases are working itself out :)

Oh and my hair is stained blue from the chemical they used to do the leak test.. guess it leaked out my mouth, down my cheek and into my hair.  the nurses tried to get it out.. but my bleached hair just absorbed it.. so I havent decided what to do yet.. cut it out ? 

Glad it went well,i had dr Reed last monday and didnt have to use the pump at all,he is good,i think maybe  the lady you had for room mate was a sister to the lady in the room next to me last week ,screamed all the time about anything,thought she was dying and she only spilt her water...Good luck and it gets better fast!
