WAYE/DT thread

Hiya :)

I had a suggestion last evening from a lovely lady in our Mississauga group regarding the "What are you eating/doing today?" thread.  This makes a TON of sense to me.  She suggested that we post not only *what* we are eating, but also *how much* (measurement) we're eating, what kind of surgery we had, and WHEN - this makes a big difference, as I'm 6 years out compared to someone who is 6 months out.  SO!  I will endeavor to remember this each morning, I hope the regulars will too! :)

Are we reading the same thread?  Most people do put the quantity down and most of us have our surgery type and surgery date posted under our avatars.

I know I used to and somehow stopped/forgot to do it anymore.  Some do, some don't. I'm going to try harder to remember.  Type of surgery would help, as well as surgery date - although I see mine listed under my avi NOW, sometimes when I log on, I don't see my info or anyone else's at all.  OH glitch I suppose.  I'm just trying to make the thread user-friendly for peeps is all.

yeah, for example my diet would be diff because I am pre op... and people may not realize that because not everyone chooses to put their surgery and date under their avatar. so you may not know if they just choose not to, or just have not had surgery yet.

I tend to stay clear of that thread because my diet is nothing to brag about or even pay attention to since I may eat a cheeseburger combo!

Y'know, we have had some pre-ops post on the thread, just to get into the habit of journaling what they eat and to show them how much/what they're eating in a day :)

I think measurements are good for people *****ad the thread to get ideas. Does anyone even do that?

From some of the threads asking for ideas, I'd say that nobody ever reads it for ideas.

hehehe

Good point.  It's too bad people don't really read it for ideas, because there are some great ones there.  I suppose many think it doesn't apply to them somehow.
