I feel for you. I was on meds that had hot flashes as a side effect. I was only too happy to get off them!! I was soaked through my clothes by noon every single day. I had to bring a change of clothes with me to work.

Ugh. I feel for you.  This is like nothing I have ever felt - a deep burn from inside that sweeps over your face and body. Miserable.

I feel for you. Have been having hot flashes just the way you described for the past 6-7 years.  They have finally subsided somewhat.  Try to stay unstress (yeah I know that is easy to say) but I found stressful moments the worse.
BTW I only just had my 46th b-day.

Oh there are some meds that can help too. Ask your Dr.

I'm having a hysterectomy in August - this is to help me get ready.  I'm 44.  And this SUCKS. LOL  I haven't been stressed at all really, but OMG, it's a deep burn from within that I've never felt before.  I can not wait to get this uterus out. LOL!  Thank you.

Hey Karen those hot flashes are a real bi%^^ but when your uterus comes out, does not mean they stop...It will be delayed for a while but you will eventually get them...

I've had to have a full hysterectomy since I was 38, cancer, and since I am now 42, I still have them..Not dying, but still have them...

sorry to burst your bubble... But you do get use to them..eventually...lol

Karen you are keeping your ovaries so you will only get hot flashes once your body goes through normal menopause later.  Women that lose their ovaries at time of hysterectomy, go through surgical menopause and my ob/gyn told me that is far worse than normaly menopause.  I had my hystorectomy in 2008 and still don't have hot flashes and I"m a year older than you so there your happiness is restored.
