Yes, the dentist prescribed me a better medication for pain. I will definitely look for the oil of cloves - can't hurt to try !

Very Very very small amount of the oil of cloves - too much and you can "burn" your gums. But it works lovely. My dentist will put in a temporary medicated filling in irritated cavities - they have the Oil of cloves in the mix. Tastes like christmas. I buy it at Shoppers
They're going to pull the tooth, which I am grateful for. It's too infected to treat unfortunately.

Teeth, while useful, suck. Period.
Mine are not in the best shape, and from time to time can be tempermental with hot/cold, but I cannot tell you how many times I've wished to have them all yanked out. But the thought of a mouthful of plastic makes eating seem dreadful.
Worst feeling (besides a toothache), is accidentally biting a fork, or a piece of bone in ground meat.
Over the counter numbing gel isn't effective. The stuff they inject at the dentist works wonders, but I hate that it makes the entire side of your face numb.
