I now have a hernia - should I be worried?

Wow so many have the ambillical hernia, when I was born the doctor told mom that I have one. Sort of an indent about my belly button. And funny enough that is where they put one of my incisions. They never said anything to me about it, so I guess it's all good.

On a side note they didn't put an incicion in my belly button this surgery... umm

I too have a small hernia around my belly button. My Doc felt around during my physical last year, but said he was not too concerned at that point.
It is painful sometimes. If it becomes painful or grows you may want to get it looked at.
Mine happened after my wls.
I'm sure if your surgeon thought you should have it fixed he would have done it or he would have said you needed to have it fixed

Oh Deb, that is too bad, but don't let it worry you. I am sure that if it was something to worry about he would have fixed during the surgery. Don't let is stress you and comprimise your healing.
